John Culbertson

Partner

JohnJohn Culbertson chairs the Investment Committee of Marketplace One Capital and is a long-time private investor. He is a founder and partner of Veritas Ventures and Veritas Investment Partners, which are private investment partnerships focusing on venture capital and hedge fund investments. John is also a founder of Gamma Investors, a venture capital fund with investments primarily in financial services technology companies. Gamma Investors was founded in 2000 by several former partners in Cooper Neff and Associates.

John spent the first portion of his career in New York and London as a partner at Cooper Neff and Associates, a quantitative proprietary trading firm. The firm was sold to BNP Paribas in 1995.

John is vice-chair of the board of directors for Urban Promise ministries, an innovative urban youth organization headquartered in the city of Camden NJ. He is also a member of the Deans Advisory Board at the Rutgers School of Business and a member of the Rutgers Camden School of Business Hall of Fame.

John has a Bachelors degree from Rutgers University in Economics and Management and a Masters of Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He is married with four children.
